First day with linen trousers. They wrinkle like crazy, but that is part of the charm and they are just so comfortable when the temperatures creep up to 20C and above.

A lighter coat with darker trousers is sometimes frowned up on by some #menswear experts that thinks a coat should always be darker that the trousers it is worn with. I sort of agree with that sentiment when it comes to for winter wear. But for the warmer months I find that a lighter coat works great (think white dinner jackets worn at the Riviera).
Today the weather has finally turned warmer and there are hopes that we might actually get a summer here this year. I therefore decided to break out one of my lighter jacket, a cream coloured silk/cashmere jacket from Zegna. It feels great as a change from the heavy flannels and tweeds that have featured heavily here the last couple of months….

I received this new SC late last week and decided to try it out before possibly having it tailored. So far I’m more than happy, the sleeve length is pretty spot on - I usually have to tailor the sleeves on most of my jackets. The cloth is a wonderful 100% cashmere from Loro Piana, soft as a baby’s bottom, and in a nice, not too dark, blue colour with a warm brown over-check (the bottom photo is most accurate with respect to colours).
